Two Diesel driven freight vessels of coastal type, Check Knot and Acorn Knot, typical ships of U S Maritime Commission design, converted to small Army Transports for inter-island passenger and freight service, by Moore Drydock Co, Oakland; length oa 338 ft 8 3/8 in.; breadth molded 50 ft; depth molded 29 ft; powered by Busch Sulzer Diesel engines which develop 1700 hp each.
