British Army uses two versions of Taylorcraft model for artillery observation; Auster 1 has 90-hp Cirrus in-line air-cooled motor and no flaps; Auster III has 130-hp Gipsy Major and flaps; both are side-by-side, 2-seat, high wing braced monoplanes; structural details, specification and photographs are given.
