At Brayton Avenue, west of station at Providence, RI, New York, New Haven and Hartford has installed large all relay electric interlocking, control of which is in same machine with similar plant installed in 1943 east of station, so that one machine now controls extensive track layout more than 1.8 mi. long; special features are use of plug-in relays, good construction of underground and aerial cables and special circuits to minimize number of wires.
