"Self unloader" is bulk cargo vessel furnished with conveying equipment which withdraws cargo from bottom of hold, elevates it above deck to boom conveyor which swings outboard and deposits cargo on dock, without aid of shore facilities; development of these vessels; reference to steamer, S.
