Built by Furness Shipbuilding Co, for Eagle Oil and Shipping Co; length oa 537 ft; breadth molded 69 ft; depth molded 37 ft; propelling machinery consists of single turbine direct coupled to GEC 3-phase 3320-v alternator which supplies current to propulsion motor which delivers 9000 shp at 124 rpm; steam supplied to main turbine by two forced circulation boilers, each having normal load capacity of 60,000 lb of steam per hr at pressure of 500 psi and temperature of 800 F.
