First all plastic boat was built in 1946; in comparison with orthodox methods as applied to similar boat in wood, 90% saving in hull construction time and 45% saving in man hours are reported; plastic materials used as load carrying members in shipbuilding; properties and composition of Hydulignum and Holoplast; rubber for heat insulation of ship; decorative laminates.
