Two vessels Quaker and Cavalier, to inaugurate overnight freight service between Philadelphia and Norfolk, built by Pusey and Jones Corp, Wilmington, Del, for Philadelphia and Norfolk Steamship Co of Philadelphia; length oa 292 ft; beam molded 48 ft; depth molded 32 ft 3 in.; propelled by General Electric high speed cross compound double reduction geared turbines developing 4000 shp at 120 rpm.
