Major/ minor wheel vehicle, experimental vehicle that employs Terraster locomotion concept, was tested on soils having wide range of strengths, on asphalt pavement, and in water; purpose of tests was to determine minimum soil strength, in terms of rating cone index, that will permit vehicle to complete one and 50 passes in straightline path, one-pass drawbar pull-slip and motion resistance-soil strength relations, hard surface drawbar pull-vehicle speed relations, slope-climbing capabilities, water speed, and water exit capabilities are discussed.
