Results of measurements at midships on seven models of differing form, representing actual ships with block coefficients from 0.59 to 0.80; results for eighth model, smaller geosim, to show effects of scale and wall interference; overall analysis of model data, from which ordinates of bending moment response curves and location of peak or peaks therein for any vessel of similar type may be estimated from principal proportions of hull and its waterplane area coefficient, longitudinal radius of gyration and speed; comparison of latter with literature.
