Series of wave bending moments was calculated from lines designed for load draft corresponding to 0.06L; length of parallel middle body was varied to give hull forms covering whole practical range of block coefficient at load draft; series also covered range of drafts between load and ballast trim. Paper presented before joint meeting of Instn Naval Architects and Instn Engrs and Shipbuilders in Scotland.
