Method of recursive orbital navigation in which it is not necessary to identify landmarks is presented; navigational data are obtained from two optical sightings to same unknown landmark; position of landmark and two points from which sightings are made determine plane; location of normal point is obtained as function of two sighting points only, and is independent of path between two points and location of landmark; computer simulation results of use of method for earth orbital navigation are presented.
