Approach taken by NASA toward advanced technology program for liquid rockets, devoted to propulsion requirements for future launch vehicles; plan of evolution for advanced launch vehicle engines and system configurations studied indicating extent to which vehicles were considered; unconventional engine concepts, such as multi-chamber using E-D nozzle, plug nozzle, and toroidal-chamber using aerodynamic nozzle; unconventional combustion-chamber configurations and unconventional cycles enhancing combustion stability.
