Illustrated description of magnetic lift crane locomotive completed by Andrew Barclay, Sons and Co, for service in large steel works; consists essentially of switching locomotive with addition of crane, primary purpose of engine being for switching, though it is capable of lifting and transporting loads when required; fitting of lifting magnet materially increases field of usefulness and results in saving of both labor and time.
