Two prototype Concords are well advanced in construction; first, at Toulouse, is structurally complete and is being fitted out with mass of systems, equipment and test gear; first flight is expected on Feb 28 1968; second machine is coming along well at Bristol; third and fourth flying prototypes and two structural test airframes are of longer-bodied and higher gross-weight production standard aircraft and it is this type that forms basis of technical description and subject of cutaway drawing; aerodynamics, structure, structural testing, power plant, engine installation, intake, and various control systems are described.
