[Objective]To enable the through train operation between Suzhou Rail Transit Line 11 and Line 3, a customized signaling system upgrade solution is required based on the unique characteristics and operational demands of the lines, aiming to achieve the technical goals of 'one line, one plan'. [Method]The key technical points in upgrading the urban rail transit signaling system to driverless operation mode are analyzed. The signaling system upgrade plan for Suzhou Rail Transit Line 11 and Line 3 through train operation is examined, with a focus on the technical challenges and innovations in station renovation, control center integration, and network compatibility. [Result & Conclusion]Suzhou Rail Transit Line 3 is the first in China to upgrade from GOA2 (semi-automated train operation) to GOA4 (fully automated train operation). After the signaling system upgrade is completed, Line 3 operates more safely, efficiently, and intelligently, while ensuring full compatibility and seamless integration between the signaling systems of Line 11 and Line 3.
