In this thesis, the author explores the concept of virtual commissioning in industrial automation, including its benefits and challenges, and the current state of the technology. The author also reviews the existing literature on virtual commissioning, including academic papers and industry reports. Finally, a discussion about the future of virtual commissioning in industrial automation and the potential for further research in this area.
