This paper proposes a price sensitivity analysis method for high-speed rail passengers based on the ticket purchasing process. This analysis method defines the time when second-class seats are sold out as time of demarcation, divides passenger’s ticketing into free state and non-free state, and passengers are divided into deterministic and non-deterministic. Passengers’ sensitivity to different prices is analyzed after counting their ticketing behaviors before and after the demarcation moment. Based on analysis of passenger ticket data at different distance intervals, the conclusion is that passenger price sensitivity increases as the distance increases, and the price is adjusted to correspond.
