With the construction of railway passenger transport infrastructure, the passenger traffic volume of railways has grown rapidly. Railway transport companies pay more attention to passenger travel. The analysis of the travel behaviour of railway passengers is a complex and cumbersome process involving many aspects such as the development of railway operation plans, ticket sales, and marketing strategies. As a special passenger flow, student flow is a public transportation task that is borne by railway transportation enterprises. Based on the student ticket data of the railway ticket system, this paper analyzed the characteristics of the historical ticket data of a certain bureau during the winter vacation by means of Python and ArcGIS, and analyzed the time and space characteristics of the student flow. The analysis results provide an auxiliary decision for railway passenger transport management.
