In the network of collection and distribution for the port, we select proper inland container depot and determine the amount of container cargoes accomplished by different modes on each arcs. This paper proposes a model to minimize transportation costs between cargo origin and the destination, subject to the maximum cargo volume handled at seaport and the vehicle's capacity of each transportation mode. The model is solved by lingo 8.0, and the output is cargo volume on each route within a planning period. Then the data we get is used to guide the container carriers and optimize the transportation.
