The expansive soil is a special geological soil of multi-cranny and expand-shrink property. Based on the regulation of swelling soil in Xi'an-Ankang railway, this text performs laboratory tests of basal physical property and swelling to analyse the influence of the initial state parameters (water content, dry density and void ratio etc) of expansive soil on swelling pressure. It investigates that there is a nonlinear relationship between the initial state parameters and the swelling pressure. At the same time, comparing the test results with the theory analysis results, it proves that the test results are effective.
