Numerous railways are built in China’s big cities. To improve the attractiveness of rail transit, many Park-and-Rides (P+R) have been developed. The optimisation of P+R is a problem to solve; therefore, the P+R attraction scope and car connection distance are researched first in this text. Following this, the interactions of adjacent P+Rs are analysed. Based on the maximum coverage principle, the site selection method was chosen. In terms of the background of Shanghai’s P+Rs, P+R location methods are researched using the rasterising matrix calculation method and the simulated annealing algorithm. The site selection results are compared with Shanghai’s actual case. The results show that the site selection method can have a useful effect and have good practicability and extensibility.
