The rationality of the net distance between the tunnel exit and the main toll station of mountain expressway has an important impact on the traffic capacity and safety of mountain expressway, so it is necessary to conduct in-depth study on it. This paper first defines the net distance between the tunnel exit and the main toll station. Then the driving behavior of the driver, the process of light adaptation at the tunnel exit, the process of recognizing traffic signs, the process of controlling vehicle deceleration and braking, and the process of changing lanes are analyzed. According to kinematics and dynamics theory, by predicting vehicle running speed, the calculation model of net distance between tunnel exit and main toll station of mountain expressway based on operating speed is established, and the reasonable net distance under different design speed is calculated for design reference.
