Developing container multi-modal transportation plays a significant part in implementing the national strategies of “One belt and one road” and “Yangtze river economic belt.” First, the paper analyzes the current container multi-modal transportation in China. Then, we establish an optimization model of the multi-modal transportation network by taking the lowest comprehensive transport cost as the objective function. Finally, the optimal container multimodal transportation scheme is recommended.
