Train Running Scheme of Dedicated Passenger Railways (DPR) plays a fundamental role in passenger transport organization planning, which restricts the quality of train operation as well as the social service. The compilation of passenger train running scheme is still made by human mainly based on the plans of the similar sections at present. At the same time, the research results in China have rarely been used to compile the real scheme. Optimizing the process to compile the train running scheme and making full use of the existing research results are necessary requirements for DPR, which are characteristics of high input, high speed and large transport capacity. Based on the analysis of the domestic existing compilation theory of the train running scheme and the compilation process of the train running scheme aboard, this paper discusses and explores the compilation principles and processes of intercity DPR.
