The paper examines the interface between the nationally applicable construction gauge 1-CM2 in the Republic of Bulgaria and the European kinematic gauge GC. From previous studies it was found that the sections for gauge 1-CM2 do not allow the movement of rolling stock for gauge GC, as it is found that there is an outline of the construction gauge GUC-BG (construction gauge for GC) from that of gauge 1-CM2. The paper presents the results from the calculations for different railway profiles and graphical comparisons for profiles 1-CM2 and GUC-BG. It is established at what value of radius and can't the maximum exit from the profile of 1-CM2 is identified. Based on the obtained results, the possibility of redefining the coordinates of one point of the profile for the inner part of the curve and one point for the outer part of the curve is considered, so that the obtained profile allows entering GUC-BG in all possible variants. The resulting modified profile of 1-CM2 allows the movement of rolling stock for gauge GC, and the study can be used for future changes to the regulations so that the nationally applicable gauges meet the requirements of the European gauges GC, GB and GA.
