We study the stability of limit cycles that appear due to a constant delay introduced in the control of an unmanned vehicle. Stability switches of the equilibrium point shows the existence of a Hopf bifurcation. For the delay differential equations with constant delay, we establish the formulae required to calculate the Lyapunov coefficient and determine an approximation of the solution. Numerical simulations are used to illustrate the results.
