Description This volume addresses the present status of studies of liquid-metal MHD flows, including some related problems of MHD of a general kind and different applications of these flows. The papers contained herein were presented at the Third Beer-Sheva International Seminar on MHD Flows and Turbulence, held in March 1981. They are divided into four groups: fundamental problems of single- and two-phase liquid-metal MHD flows and turbulence, with and without magnetic fields, MHD power generation and electromagnetic flowmeters, electromagnetic pumps, and metallurgical magnetohydrodynamics.
