Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) swarms are aerial vehicles that work in a coordinated manner, collecting, processing, and acting on real-time data. The weakest point of UAV swarm systems is their communication subsystem; the coordinated communication is prone to external interference that may lead to vital security vulnerabilities. In this study, assuming that the ground station connection is lost, a scenario was examined where each UAV has its unique location information, shares location information with each other, and jointly follows the approved location determined by voting. Blockchain architecture is designed for sharing location data and approval processes within a swarm. This enables UAV swarms to intercommunicate effectively and reliably with each other. With blockchain technology, secure and confidential communication between aerial vehicles is ensured; shared data is prevented from external interference. This study demonstrates blockchain technology's capabilities in avionics systems, and thus, UAVs.
