Provided are a brake system for an autonomous vehicle capable of regenerative braking and a control method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the provided redundancy system comprises a plurality of hydraulic modules having the same configuration and a technical characteristic. Therefore, mild hybrid control is possible. The brake system of the present invention includes: a reservoir; a master cylinder; a pedal stroke sensor; a first circuit; a second circuit; and a plurality of electric control units.

    본 개시의 일 실시예에 의하면, 동일한 구성 및 기술적 특징을 갖는 복수의 유압모듈을 포함함으로써, 마일드 하이브리드 제어가 가능한 리던던시 시스템을 제공한다.
