A speed reduction device for an electric vehicle is disclosed. The disclosed speed reduction device for an electric vehicle comprises: a housing unit positioned on the same line with a motor; an input shaft unit installed inside the housing unit, connected to the motor, rotated by driving of the motor, and receiving power of the motor; a connection shaft unit installed inside the housing unit, engaged to be coupled to the input shaft unit, disposed in parallel to the input shaft unit, and rotated by rotation of the input shaft unit to reduce the power inputted into the input shaft unit; and an output shaft unit installed inside the housing unit, engaged to be coupled to the connection shaft unit, disposed on the same line with the input shaft unit, receiving the power from the connection shaft unit, and reducing and outputting the power by a propeller shaft.

    전기차량용 감속장치에 대한 발명이 개시된다. 개시된 전기차량용 감속장치는: 모터와 동일선 상에 위치되는 하우징부와, 하우징부의 내부에 설치되고, 모터와 연결되고, 모터의 구동에 회전되며, 모터의 동력이 입력되는 입력축부와, 하우징부의 내부에 설치되고, 입력축부와 맞물려 결합되고, 입력축부와 나란하게 배치되며, 입력축부의 회전에 회동되면서 입력축부에 입력된 동력을 감속시키는 연결축부와, 하우징부의 내부에 설치되고, 연결축부와 맞물려 결합되고, 입력축부와 동일선 상에 배치되고, 연결축부로부터 동력을 전달받으며, 프로펠러 샤프트로 동력을 감속시켜 출력하는 출력축부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
