The present invention provides a system and method for predicting a route of a surrounding vehicle by identifying a change in the position of the surrounding vehicle. Provided is a route prediction method comprising the steps of: obtaining relative information of a surrounding vehicle based on a user′s vehicle; generating relative movement information of the surrounding vehicle from the relative information; classifying the relative movement information of the surrounding vehicle to determine a movement form of the surrounding vehicle; and predicting a route of the surrounding vehicle according to the movement form.

    사용자 차량을 기준으로, 주변 차량의 상대 정보를 획득하는 단계; 상기 상대 정보로부터 상기 주변 차량의 상대 이동 정보를 생성하는 단계; 상기 주변 차량의 상대 이동 정보를 분류하여 상기 주변 차량의 이동 형태를 판단하는 단계; 및 상기 이동 형태에 따라 상기 주변 차량의 경로를 예측하는 단계를 포함하는, 경로 예측 방법을 제공한다.
