To highly accurately predict a congestion caused by an unexpected event.SOLUTION: A traffic situation prediction device comprises an acquisition section, a detection processing section and a prediction processing section. The acquisition section acquires sensor data, which are acquired by a vehicle sensor installed on a road, and probe data which are acquired from a vehicle traveling on the road. The detection processing section detects a bottleneck caused by an unexpected event, which occurs on the road, based on the probe data. The prediction processing section generates congestion prediction information relating to a congestion, which may occur in future due to the unexpected event, based on association data in which the probe data corresponding to the bottleneck are associated with the sensor data acquired by the vehicle sensor installed at an upstream side of the bottleneck.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】突発事象に起因する渋滞を高精度に予測する。【解決手段】実施形態の交通状況予測装置は、取得部と、検出処理部と、予測処理部とを備える。取得部は、道路に設置された車両感知器により取得される感知器データと、道路を走行中の車両から取得されるプローブデータとを取得する。検出処理部は、プローブデータに基づいて道路上で発生した突発事象に起因するボトルネックを検出する。予測処理部は、ボトルネックに対応するプローブデータと、ボトルネックより上流側に設置された車両感知器により取得された感知器データとが紐付けられた紐付けデータに基づいて、突発事象に起因して将来発生する渋滞に関する渋滞予測情報を生成する。【選択図】図4
