To provide a manufacturing method for a power transmission shaft capable of regulating fibers from moving radially outward.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a power transmission shaft comprises: a fiber installation step of installing at least a part of a carbon fiber layer 23 on an outer peripheral surface of a first metal member 30; a fiber fixing step of fixing the carbon fiber layer 23 installed on the first metal member 30 using a fiber fixing member 50 so as to regulate the movement of the first metal member 30 in a radial direction, after the fiber installation step; and a molding step of forming a fiber-reinforced resin pipe body by impregnating the carbon fiber layer 23 with resin, and integrally molding the fiber-reinforced resin pipe body and the first metal member, after the fiber fixing step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
