To provide a work device for an underwater mobile body which can be attached to a commercially available drone which is suitable for underwater mobility and has an opening and closing arm, and can perform sampling at an arbitrary water depth.SOLUTION: A work device for an underwater mobile body comprises: attaching means for attaching the work device to the underwater mobile body 2 which has an arm 1 according to curved opening and closing operation; work means 20 which has a cylinder 21 and a piston 22 according to linear work operation; and a link mechanism 30 which converts the curved opening and closing operation of the arm 1 of the underwater mobile body 2, into the linear work operation of the work means 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
