To detect the pinching of an object by an open/close body with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A pinching threshold setting unit of an open/close control device calculates the speed of the open/close body based on the change in the position of the open/close body detected by a position detection unit. When the calculated speed of the open/close body is equal to or less than a predetermined first threshold value and a state where the temporal change of the calculated load calculated by a load calculation unit is equal to or greater than a predetermined second threshold value and equal to or less than a predetermined third threshold value continues for a certain period of time or longer, it lowers the pinching threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
