To provide a technique which enables an automatic operation vehicle to perform PUDO operation without disturbing vehicle and pedestrian traffic when there is no vacant space in a pick-up and drop-off zone at a porch.SOLUTION: An automatic operation system comprises a control device. The control device performs travel control processing of an automatic operation vehicle used for a driverless transportation service. The travel control processing includes porch control processing. The porch control processing is performed when a pick-up and drop-off point of a user falls under a porch of a facility including a travel zone and a pick-up and drop-off zone. In the porch control processing, the control device determines whether or not a vacant space is available in the pick-up and drop-off zone. When determining that there is no vacant space, the control device sets a target stand-by position to stand by for pick-up and drop-off operation of the automatic operation vehicle at a position which is inside the travel zone and an upstream side of a lateral position of a vehicle stopping on a tail end of a line of vehicles in the pick-up and drop-off zone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10

    【課題】車寄せの乗降用のゾーンに空きスペースがないときに、車両や歩行者の通行を妨げることなく自動運転車両のPUDO動作を行うことが可能な技術を提供する。【解決手段】自動運転システムは、制御装置を備える。制御装置は、ドライバレス送迎サービスに提供される自動運転車両の走行制御処理を行う。走行制御処理は、車寄せ制御処理を含む。車寄せ制御処理は、走行用ゾーンと乗降用ゾーンを含む施設の車寄せにユーザの乗降地点が該当する場合に行われる。車寄せ制御処理では、乗降用ゾーンに空きスペースがあるか否かが判定される。空きスペースがないと判定された場合、走行用ゾーン内の位置、かつ、乗降用ゾーンにおける最後尾の位置で停止している停止車両の横位置よりも上流の位置に、自動運転車両の乗降動作を待機する目標待機位置が設定される。【選択図】図10
