To provide a speed reduction and reverse gear 18 that transmits power of at least either of an engine 16 and a power generation motor 30 mounted on a ship 1 to a propeller 5 through a forward reverse mechanism 25, in which the speed reduction reverse gear 18 can be downsized as a whole.SOLUTION: The speed reduction and reverse gear 18 according to the present invention comprises a change-over mechanism 37 that can selectively connect the power generation motor 30 to an upstream side 24a and a downstream side 24b in power transmission from the engine 16 in the forward reverse mechanism 25. The change-over mechanism 37 is interposed between the power generation motor 30 and the forward reverse mechanism 25, so that the forward reverse mechanism 25 is interposed between the engine 16 and the change-over mechanism 37, which can prevent large torque from the engine 16 from being directly transmitted to the change-over mechanism 37. This eliminates the necessity for the change-over mechanism 37 to have large capacities, so that the change-over mechanism 37 and in turn the speed reduction reverse gear 18 can be downsized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】船舶1に搭載したエンジン16と発電電動機30とのうち少なくとも一方の動力を正逆転機構25経由でプロペラ5に伝達する減速逆転機18において、減速逆転機18全体の小型化を図れるようにする。【解決手段】本願発明の減速逆転機18は、正逆転機構25におけるエンジン16からの動力伝達上流側24aと下流側24bとに発電電動機30を選択的に接続可能な切換機構37を備える。発電電動機30と正逆転機構25との間に切換機構37を介在させる。そうすると、エンジン16と切換機構37との間に正逆転機構25が介在することになり、エンジン16からの大トルクが切換機構37に直接伝達されることがなくなる。その結果、切換機構37を大容量のものにしなくて済み、切換機構37ひいては減速逆転機18を小型化できる。【選択図】図2
