To provide a braking device for an automobile allowing a braking start point during automatic travel to be easily and intuitively discerned.SOLUTION: In a braking device for an automobile, a control unit 150 applies a reaction force in a direction opposing a depressing operation when a position of a control unit 110 moves from a predetermined position to a first operation area preset further away in a depressing operation direction with respect to a force generation unit 130, during operation of an automatic travel controller 10, so as to control the reaction force: to reduce when the position of the control unit moves from the first operation area to a second operation area preset further away in the depressing operation direction; and to increase according to an operation amount when the position of the control unit moves from the second operation area to a third operation area where an operation amount is increased further in the depressing operation direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】自動走行時における制動開始ポイントを直感的に分かりやすくすることのできる自動車用制動装置を提供する。【解決手段】自動車用制動装置において、制御部150は、自動走行制御装置10の作動中に、力生成部130に対して、操作部110の位置が、所定位置から更に踏込み操作の方向に設定された第1操作領域に移行すると踏込み操作とは反対方向の反力を付与させ、第1操作領域から更に踏込み操作の方向に設定された第2操作領域に移行すると反力を減少させると共に、第2操作領域から更に踏込み操作の方向に操作量が増加される第3操作領域に移行すると、操作量に応じて反力を増加させるように制御する。【選択図】図1
