PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow braking characteristics of an auxiliary brake to be quickly exhibited strongly relative to braking characteristics of a main brake only during an emergency on the basis of an intension of a passenger at a front passenger seat side.SOLUTION: The automobile braking device comprises; a main brake pedal 2 provided at a driver seat side; an ECU 7 as a braking force adjuster that adjusts braking force by operating the main brake pedal 2; and an auxiliary brake pedal 3 provided at a front passenger seat side and connected controllably to the ECU 7 independently from the operation of the main brake pedal 2. The ECU 7 is configured as auxiliary emergency braking means that allows the auxiliary brake pedal 3 to generate higher braking force than the main brake pedal 2, with the same operation amounts, according to the operation state of the auxiliary brake pedal 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】主ブレーキの制動特性に対する補助ブレーキの制動特性を、助手席側の乗員の意図により緊急時のみ素早く強力に行えるようにすること。【解決手段】運転席側に設けられた主ブレーキペダル2と、該主ブレーキペダル2の操作により制動力を調節する制動力調整装置としてのECU7と、助手席側に設けられ、主ブレーキペダル2の操作とは独立して該ECU7に制御可能に接続された補助ブレーキペダル3を備え、前記ECU7を、補助ブレーキペダル3の操作状態に応じて、主ブレーキペダル2よりも同操作量で高い制動力を補助ブレーキペダル3に発生させる緊急補助ブレーキ手段として構成した。【選択図】図1
