To provide a mounting structure of a railway vehicle brake shoe in which friction materials with different quality can be combined, noise and component abrasion can be reduced, and each component is made into a simple shape to thereby facilitate manufacture, replacement and maintenance.SOLUTION: A mounting structure includes: a brake shoe block 11 with a friction material 21 fixed to one surface of a reinforcing plate 19 formed in a shape of a rectangular flat plate; a brake shoe head 13 where a pair of brake shoe blocks 11 is arranged in column along the tread of the wheel; a positioning fixing part 15 provided at both ends of the wheel rotating direction in the brake shoe head 13, respectively, and positioning and fixing an adjacent expansion side edge 27 and an opposite fixed side end edge 29 of the reinforcing plate 19 in the pair of brake shoe blocks 11; and an expansion holding mechanism 17 provided in an intermediate part of the wheel rotating direction of the brake shoe head 13, and pressing an interval between expansion side edges in the pair of brake shoe blocks 11 in an expanding direction, and holding it.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
