PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device that can suppress decrease in continuously drivable distances even if a conversion portion does not function.SOLUTION: The driving device comprises: a first capacitor; a second capacitor; a driving portion that drives by being supplied power from at least one of the first capacitor and the second capacitor; a charging/discharging circuit which includes a converting portion that converts output voltages from the first capacitor and constitutes a current passage among the first capacitor, the second capacitor, and the driving portion; a first detecting portion that detects a first variable, a charging rate or an output voltage of the first capacitor; a detection portion that detects a state where the converting portion does not function; and a control portion that controls charging/discharging between the first capacitor, the second capacitor, and the driving portion through the charging/discharging circuit. The control portion, when the detection portion detecting the state where the converting portion does not function on the basis of a relation between the first variable and a deterioration factor of the first capacitor, controls the charging/discharging circuit so that only the first capacitor supplies power to the driving portion, until the first variable falls down to a first predetermined value in a favorable range where the deterioration factor is below a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
