PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise and increase in electric power consumption even when idling is performed for a prolonged time in an internal combustion engine having cooling water circulation circuits in two independent systems.SOLUTION: A cooling device for an internal combustion engine includes: a low-temperature system cooling water circulation circuit in which cooling water having a temperature lower than that in the other cooling water circulation circuit is circulated; a high-temperature system cooling water circulation circuit in which cooling water having a temperature higher than that in the low-temperature system cooling water circulation circuit is circulated; a heat radiation amount adjustment device provided in the low-temperature system cooling water circulation circuit to adjust the radiation amount of a radiator; outside air temperature acquisition means; and a control device for controlling the heat radiation amount adjustment device so that a temperature of the cooling water flowing in the low-temperature system cooling water circulation circuit reaches a target temperature. When conditions where idling is continued for a predetermined time or longer, a heater request is made and an outside air temperature is lower than a predetermined temperature are satisfied, the control device sets the target temperature to be higher than that when the conditions are not satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】それぞれ独立した2系統の冷却水循環回路を備えた内燃機関において、アイドリングが長時間行われる場合でも騒音や電力消費量の増加を防止できる。【解決手段】他方の冷却水循環回路よりも低温の冷却水が循環する低温系冷却水循環回路と、温低温系冷却水循環回路よりも高温の冷却水が循環する高温系冷却水循環回路と、低温系冷却水循環回路に設けられるラジエータの放熱量を調節する放熱量調節装置と、外気温度取得手段と、低温系冷却水循環回路を流れる冷却水温度が目標温度になるように放熱量調節装置を制御する制御装置と、を備えた内燃機関の冷却装置において、制御装置は、アイドリングが所定時間以上継続され、かつ、ヒータ要求があり、かつ、外気温度が所定温度より低い条件が成立する場合には、条件が成立しない場合に比べて、目標温度を高く設定することを特徴とする。【選択図】図5
