PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate rim slippage resistance of a tire through finite element method simulation.SOLUTION: A tire simulation method includes steps of: discretizing, using finite elements, a tire model Mathat approximates a tire 10 under performance evaluation, a rim model Mathat approximates a rim 13 with the tire 10 mounted thereon, and a road surface model Mathat approximates a road surface on which the tire 10 travels; calculating torque induced by a rotation angle given to the rim model Mawhile the tire model Mais grounded and loaded with a predetermined internal pressure and a load; and calculating a critical torque value from a correlation between the rotation angle and the torque. 【課題】タイヤの耐リムスリップ性を有限要素法を用いたシミュレーションで評価する。【解決手段】性能評価対象のタイヤ10を近似するタイヤモデルMa1と、タイヤ10に組み付けられたリム13を近似するリムモデルMa2と、タイヤ10が走行する路面を近似する路面モデルMa3とを有限要素で離散化し、接地したタイヤモデルMa1に所定の内圧および荷重を負荷した状態で、リムモデルMa2に回転角を付与して生じるトルクを算出し、回転角とトルクとの相関関係から臨界トルク値を算出する。臨界トルク値が大きいタイヤ10ほど耐リムスリップ性が高いと評価する。【選択図】図9
