PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body component capable of solving a problem related to a conventionally suggested technique such as the suppression of an increase in the number of components for reinforcement and an increase in the manufacturing processes.SOLUTION: A bumper reinforce 10 includes a first component 11 and a second component 21 formed by channel steel having a substantially U-shaped cross section, and ends of both the components 11 and 21 are connected to each other. Slits 31 and 41 are provided along in an arrangement direction of both the components 11 and 21 at each of connection sections 13 and 23 of each of the first component 11 and the second component 21. Both the components 11 and 21 are connected in a state that both the components 11 and 21 are alternately overlapped with each other on both of upper and lower sides of the slits 31 and 41.

    【課題】補強のための部品点数増加や製造工程の増加を抑制できる等、従来提案されていた技術に関する問題を解決することができる車体部品を得ること。【解決手段】バンパーリンフォース10は、横断面略コ字状の溝形鋼により形成された第1部品11と第2部品21とを有し、両部品11,21の端部同士が接続されて構成されている。第1部品11及び第2部品21のそれぞれの接続部13,23には、スリット31,41が両部品11,21の並び方向に沿って設けられている。そして、そのスリット31,41の上下両側で、両部品11,21同士が互い違いに重なり合った状態で、両部品11,21が接続されている。【選択図】 図1
