PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous operation controller, a method, a vehicle and a computer program capable of comprehending a situation under which continuation of autonomous operation of vehicle is not preferable.SOLUTION: The autonomous operation controller for controlling autonomous operation of a vehicle includes a control section which has a function to determine the degree of risk in autonomous operation. The control section has the functions including: to determine the degree of risk based on the reliability in a detection result of a sensor used for controlling the autonomous operation; determining that the degree of risk satisfies predetermined conditions, to issue an instruction to carry out a predetermined output to an occupant to request to check the situation around the vehicle; and to determine whether or not the control of autonomous operation should be continued based on the response to the request of the passenger.

    【課題】車両の自律運転を継続することが好ましくない状況を把握する自律運転制御装置、方法、車両及びコンピュータプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】車両の自律運転を制御する自律運転制御装置であって、自律運転の危険度を判定する機能を有する制御部を備える。自律運転の制御に用いられるセンサの検出結果の信頼性に基づいて危険度を判定し、危険度が所定の条件を満たしていると判定すると、搭乗者に対して所定の出力を行うための指令を出し、車両の周辺状況の確認を依頼し、依頼に対する搭乗者の応答に基づいて、自律運転の制御を継続するか否かを判定する機能を有する。【選択図】図1
