PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unmanned traveling mobile which can be smoothly steered within a nuclear facility such as a high-concentration radioactivity space difficult to enter for human beings.SOLUTION: An unmanned traveling mobile (E) includes: a box-shaped main body (A) in which control equipment is accommodated; right and left traveling crawlers (D) with which a pulley (B) is mounted before and behind the main body and a center base bar (C) for equipment attachment is provided in a length direction of a center of a machine body and which are hung around over a full width of the machine body except for a portion where the center base bar is installed; laterally rotatable arm-like sub crawler units (G) at front and rear sides of the machine body; and a communication cable retraction mechanism (L) for wired steering. The communication cable retraction mechanism (L) for wired steering is mounted on the center base bar and includes a reeling mechanism and a driving mechanism and between both the mechanisms, a drive transmission mechanism using magnetic force is included.
