To provide an unmanned traveling object capable of suppressing power consumption of a charged battery while enabling the start of operation immediately after charging.SOLUTION: An unmanned traveling object comprises: a traveling object main body; a plurality of drive wheels included in the traveling object main body; a traveling motor 14 provided for each driving wheel and driving the drive wheel; a controller that controls the traveling motor; a chargeable battery 15 stored in the traveling object main body; and a terminal 16 for charging that is connectable to a charging terminal included in a charging device 37 and is used to charge the battery 15. The controller performs control so as to shift to shutdown in which power supply to each part in the traveling object main body is stopped from an operable state in which power supply to each part in the traveling object main body is possible when a preset set elapsed time has elapsed after the battery 15 is charged when the charging terminal and the terminal 16 for charging are connected to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
