PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device used for various kinds of control of an automobile in which reliability has been further improved.SOLUTION: A rotation angle detection device is configured in such a manner that: a box-shaped part 45 is provided at a lower case 40 configuring one part of a housing; a space part is provided which is configured by covering an opening of the box-shaped part 45 by a sealing member 91; a wiring board 85 is installed inside the space; and magnetic detection elements 86, 87 mounted on the wiring board 85 are opposed to magnets 64, 75 of a first detection body 61 and a second detection body 72 arranged outside the space part. Thereby, even when dust and the like enter the housing from an arrangement place of a rotor 55, an influence of the dust and the like on the wiring board 85, the magnetic detection elements 86, 87 and the like can be suppressed, and the device can be provided as the one having excellent reliability.

    【課題】自動車の各種制御用に用いられる回転角度検出装置に関し、信頼性がより向上したものを提供する。【解決手段】筐体の一部をなす下ケース40に箱状部45を設けると共に、その箱状部45の開口部を封止部材91で覆って構成される空間部を有したものとし、その空間部内に配線基板85を設置して、配線基板85に装着された磁気検出素子86、87を、空間部の外に配置された第1検出体61、第2検出体72の磁石64、75に対向させた構成とした。これであれば、回転体55の配置箇所から筐体内に塵埃等が侵入したとしても、配線基板85や磁気検出素子86、87等への塵埃等の影響が抑えられて、信頼性に優れるものとして提供することができる。【選択図】図1
