The module (1) has a traction motor driving a vehicle wheel and comprising a motor shaft that is arranged to parallel rotational axes (2, 3), and a first transmission (5) comprising an input shaft that is connected with the motor shaft. A second transmission (6) has an input shaft connected with an output shaft of the first transmission. Another traction motor (8) drives another vehicle wheel. A third transmission (10) has an input shaft connected with an output shaft of a fourth transmission (9), where an output shaft of the third transmission is formed for accommodating the latter wheel. The traction motors are designed as high-speed asynchronous motors. The first and fourth transmissions are designed as spur gears. The second and third transmissions are designed as planetary gears.
