The invention relates to a vehicle lane changing auxiliary early warning method and system based on a millimeter wave radar, and relates to the field of intelligent driving. The method comprises the following steps: receiving point cloud information sent by a millimeter wave radar; based on the point cloud information and the position data of the to-be-detected area, determining whether an object exists in the to-be-detected area; determining predicted collision time data corresponding to the object; a warning signal is generated based on the projected collision time data. Derivation is carried out based on the basic principle of a radar equation, a corresponding warning signal is made in combination with predicted collision time data under the condition of a preset position, and high reliability and strong anti-interference capability are achieved. When a driver carries out conscious or unconscious lane changing or merging operation, if a moving vehicle is detected in a blind spot area of the driver, the system gives an alarm to prompt a collision risk, and the probability of close-range collision is greatly reduced. Therefore, traffic accidents and dangerous lane cutting-out caused by blind areas can be avoided.

    本申请关于基于毫米波雷达的车辆变道辅助预警方法及系统,涉及智能驾驶领域。该方法包括:接收毫米波雷达发送的点云信息;基于所述点云信息以及待检测区域位置数据,确定待检测区域内是否存在物体;确定与所述物体对应的预计碰撞时间数据;基于所述预计碰撞时间数据生成警告信号。基于雷达方程的基本原理进行推导,在预设位置的情况下,结合预计碰撞时间数据做出相应的警告信号,具有较高的可靠度与较强的抗干扰能力。在驾驶员有意识或无意识的换道或者并道操作时,如检测到驾驶员的盲点区域内有运动车辆,系统将提供报警以提示碰撞风险,极大减小近距离碰撞几率。这有助于避免因盲区而造成的交通事故和危险车道切出。
